In today's lesson, we'll introduce you to some more useful phrases for hotels and the like. The first phrase is What time is checkout? You want to know this information because you don't want to get charged for overstaying! So, the phrase is What time is checkout? |
First you have, what time is and then you have the word checkout. So, once again that's What time is checkout? |
Let's look at some words you might need while staying in a hotel because there will be times when you need more of certain things. There are a few more words that might come in handy in this case, such as... |
-Towel |
-Toothbrush |
-Toothpaste |
-Shampoo |
-Soap |
If you need any of these, you could say, can I have a towel please? Since it's a question, you have Can I have and then you say what you need. In this case it would be a towel. So, all together that'S can I have a towel please? |
If you want to ask for soap, you would say, can I have some soap please? So once again you have the question starter, can I have and then this time you add some in front of soap, and then of course please. So all together, we have can I have some soap please? |
Okay, now to close out today's lesson, we'd like you to practice what you've just learned. I'll say the phrase or sentence, and why don't you try saying it out loud? Good luck everybody! |
- What time is checkout? |
- Can I have a towel please? |
- Can I have some soap please? |
All right, that's going to do it for today! See you all soon! |
