Since the food in the States comes from different cultures, you might come across food that you don't know how to eat. In such cases you can ask, How do you eat this? How asks for the way you can eat it, do you eat is the question, and this is what you're referring to. All together that's How do you eat this?
Finally, we will talk about something that may come in handy for everyone who doesn't like hot things. Some American cuisines can be pretty spicy at times. So if you want to make sure it's not, you can ask the question, is this hot? Or is this spicy? Once again that's is this hot? Or is this spicy?
Okay, now to close out today's lesson, we'd like you to practice what you've just learned. I'll say the phrase or sentence, and why don't you try saying it out loud? Good luck everybody!
