| How to Say Goodbye in English |
| In this lesson we'll introduce parting expressions. |
| As we learned in the previous lesson, ‘goodbye’, ‘bye’, and ‘bye bye’ are different ways you can part in English. |
| However, there are more ways than this! |
| SURVIVAL PHRASES |
| A parting expression that we can use for all occasions is ‘see you’, which is a short form for ‘see you later’. |

| Let's look at another expression. The expression ‘take care’ is also commonly used. It can be combined with the word ‘bye’. So in the end it'll sound like ‘take care now, bye’. Since it's not so long or short, it's a friendly way to part with people. |

| Let's step it up a bit. When parting, it is often nice to wish somebody well. For example, I can say ‘have a good day’ to somebody that I won't see for the rest of the day. It's a warm way to say goodbye to somebody, both formally and informally. |

| Now what would you say if it's 6 P.M., and you're going home, and you won't see the person until tomorrow? ‘Have a good evening’. Just substitute ‘day’ with ‘evening’. |
